Liz Brixius will executive produce and be showrunner to NBC’s comedy series Bad Judge.
According to Deadline, Brixius co-created Nurse Jackie and received this gig as part of a deal she has with Universal Television. Bad Judge is produced with studio-based Gary Sanchez Productions. Chad Kultgen wrote the series.
The series centers on wild child Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh) who can party with the best of them and is also L.A.’s toughest and most respected criminal court judges.
Executive producers on the series are Brixius, Kultgen, Walsh, Anne Heche, Jill Sobel Messick, Kevin Messick, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
Brixius is repped by WME and Jamie Mandelbaum.
