MTV has given a series order to a new prank show, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Jersey Shore executive producer SallyAnn Salsano’s 495 Productions will oversee the show titled Jerks With Cameras, described as a “fast paced half house unhidden camera prank show.”
The ten-episode series will feature a team of quick-thinking comedians who will stand in as “the jerks”. They will be sent out on the streets by the show’s host with one mission–to mess with everyday people.
MTV’s Jackie French, Dan Caster, Janay Button and Nick Predescu will oversee for the network. No formal host or comedians have been signed onto the series, which is set to bow in 2014.
The addition marks Salsano’s most recent contribution to MTV’s schedule, along with season three of Snooki and JWOWW and The Ex and the Why, a half-hour daily entry featuring former couples getting another shot at love.
