Comedy Central Prescribes More ‘Key & Peele’

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele sketch comedy series returns to Comedy Central for a third season of 13 episodes, according to Indiewire.

The new season will be loaded with previous characters from the first two seasons of Key & Peele like Hingle McCringleberry and Ozamataz Buckshank; Karim and Jahar;  and Wendell and Mr. Garvey but will also include slew of new characters, according to Indiewire.

Guest stars coming to the new series incorporate James Callis, Jason Schwartzman, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and YouTube sensation Freddie Wong, according to Indiewire.

The second season averaged 1.5 million viewers each week and remained number one in its timeslot with Men 18-34 and Men 18-24 in all of television, according to Indiewire.

The series begins Wednesday, September 18 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT and fans can tune in September 11 at the same time for a behind the scenes episode where Key and Peele discuss fan’s favorite sketches from past season and will also get to see a sneak peek at season three, according to Indiewire.
