NYCC ’27: ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Panel Gives A Sneak Peak To The Upcoming Second Season

Dexter is back for another season of Dexter: Resurrection, and it’s set to keep fans on their toes. During the New York Comic Con panel for the series, the cast shared not only what is to come in the season, but also what it was like to play their respective characters, as well as sharing other surprises and events. 

The panel started with the cast being introduced, which included Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, Uma Thurman (Pretty Lethal, The Kill Room) as Charlie, James Remar (Oppenheimer, The Odyssey) as Harry Morgan, Jack Alcott (Lone Rider, Killing Faith) as Harrison Morgan, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo, Halo) as Captain Mixon and Krysten Ritter (Krapopolis, Daredevil: Born Again) as Mia, as well as showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips (Feed the Beast, Nurse Jackie) and executive producers Scott Reynolds (Inhumans, Iron Fist) and Marcos Siegaalong (Bad Monkey, The Girls on the Bus) with one special surprise guest.

The cast talked about how they portrayed the characters and the challenges that came with them. *spoiler ahead* There was one seat not taken on stage that was left for a surprise actor. During the panel, a familiar face for fans of season one  were shocked to see who it was Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family, Almost Famous) back as Al, also known as Rapunzel; he was presumed dead at the end of season one, but fans can expect him back in the second installment. 

The series follows Dexter Morgan after he survives being shot by his son at the end of Dexter: New Bloodline. The second season sees Dexter battle different serial killers as well as his personal life.  

The panel concluded with them playing the first episode of the second season, which will air on October 30. The episode shed light on some questions as well as showcase what is to come for the rest of the season.
