Jack Black Produces ‘Ghost Ghirls’ For Yahoo! Screen

Jack Black steps behind the camera for an otherworldly web comedy that will premiere on Yahoo! Screen September 9.

Ghost Ghirls is co-created and directed by Jeremy Konner (Drunk History) and stars co-creators Amanda Lund and Maria Biasucci as paranormal investigators seeking out the unknown in a stumbling adventure interjected with personal mishaps.

The web series aims to provide a mix-up of comedy, spooky adventures and notable celebrity cameos like Dave Grohl, Val Kilmer, Jason Ritter, Jake Johnson, Molly Shannon and Jason Schwartzman amongst other celebrity guest stars. Jack Black also guest stars, returning in front of the camera briefly to serve as a ghostly rock star.

The web paranormal phenomena series coming to Yahoo! this fall was co-produced by Black’s Electric Dynamite and Shine America.

“I’ve had my eyes peeled for something new and fresh and creative for a long time now. And this came across my desk and I just loved it,” Black said.
