‘Rock Camp’ Comedy Series in Development at Fox

Fox is currently developing a single-camera comedy series, Rock Camp, with David Fishof, founder of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, and executive producers Steve Basilone (The Goldbergs, Community) and Jeff Rowe (Gravity Falls, Disenchantment), according to Deadline

Fishof had previously worked with The Beatles’ Ringo Starr (Abbey Road, Revolver), singer Roger Daltrey (Who, Tommy), pop band The Monkees (Headquarters, Pool It!), musician Joe Walsh (So What, Barnstorm), and musician Peter Frampton (Where I Should Be, Wind of Change) before creating Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in 1997, accumulating over 6,000 campers, via Deadline. Fishof has also previously worked with producer Mark Burnett (Shark Tank, The Voice) to produce reality series that ran for two seasons on VH1, according to Deadline

Rock Camp follows a down on his luck rock star who reluctantly goes to teach at Rock Camp, a summer camp where “anyone can live out their fantasy of shredding next to their favorite rockers,” in order to fulfill a court mandate and save his reputation, via Deadline. The series is Fox’s latest comedy project, joining Fox’s other projects such as Call Me Kat, starring Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory, Beaches) and Welcome To Flatch, according to Deadline.

Other comedy projects in development at Fox include  a witness protection comedy Remix, true-crime comedy Dicks, and Buffalo Tens, a dating comedy, via Deadline.
