Naveen Andrews Joins Season Two of ‘The Cleaning Lady’

The FOX drama series, The Cleaning Lady, has added Emmy nominee Naveen Andrews (Lost) to its upcoming second season, as announced via a tweet from the series. Andrews will play Robert Kamdar, ex-lover to Nadia, played by Eva Dominici (Hawaii Five-0), who hopes to disunite Nadia and Arman, played by Adan Canto (Designated Survivor).

The first season of The Cleaning Lady followed Thony De La Rosa, played by Élodie Yung (Daredevil), as she must take on a dangerous second occupation to help pay for her son’s bone marrow treatment. Additional cast members in the first season include Oliver Hudson (Scream Queens) as Garrett, Martha Milan (Succession) as Fiona, Sean Lew (Sam & Cat) as Chris, and Faith Bryant (Piano Lessons) as Jaz. Chelsea Frei (Dollface) co-stars as Maya Campbell alongside young actors Sebastian and Valentino LaSalle as Luca, Navid Negahban (The Old Man) as Hayak Barsamian, Ivan Shaw (Insecure) as Marco De La Rosa, Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls) as ASAC Katherine Russo, and Harold Nieves Fisch (The Leftovers) as Carlos.

The Cleaning Lady is created by Miranda Kwok (The 100), who also executive produces the series alongside Melissa Carter (Queen Sugar), Shay Mitchell (You), and Michael Offer (Hightown). Other EPs include David Dean Portelli (Locker Room), Paola Suárez (Siempre Fui Yo, detrás de la historia), and RMVISTAR’s Rose Marie Vega. The series received a nomination for Best Broadcast Network Series, Drama, at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards.

Andrews recently starred as Sunny Balwani on Hulu’s The Dropout, a role which earned him a Hollywood Critics Association Awards nomination. Andrews’s other credits include CBS’s Instinct, Netflix’s Sense8, ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and Oliver Hirschbiegel’s Diana. Andrews also earned an Emmy nomination in 2005 for his role as Sayid Jarrah in ABC’s mystery series, Lost.

Season two of The Cleaning Lady will premiere on Monday, September 9th, at 9 PM EST.
