Apple TV+ Renews ‘Trying’ For A Fourth Season

Apple TV+ has renewed their comedy series Trying for an upcoming fourth season, according to Deadline. The renewal comes as the finale of the show’s third season will be released on September 2nd.

The show’s official description on the Apple TV+ website reads: “All Jason and Nikki want is a baby, but it’s the one thing they just can’t have. So, they decide to adopt. With their dysfunctional friends, screwball family and chaotic lives will the adoption panel think they’re ready to be parents?”

The comedy series will be just the third original scripted series from Apple TV+ to be renewed for a fourth season. The other two shows to make it to a fourth season on the streaming service are the comedy series Mythic Quest and the drama series For All Mankind, as noted by Deadline.

Deadline provided a description of the third season of Trying: “(Nikki and Jason) wake up as new parents to two children they are still getting to know. Now they just have to keep hold of them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. Thrown straight into the parental deep end, Nikki and Jason’s relationships with each other and with their nearest and dearest are tested as they desperately try to navigate the ups and downs of parenting — while hanging onto their kids, and their sanity.”

The stars of the show include Esther Smith (The Midnight Beast), Rafe Spall (I Give It A Year), Oliver Chris (King Charles III), Sian Brooke (Not Safe For Work), Darren Boyd (The Delivery Man), and Robyn Cara (We Die Young).

Trying is created by Andy Wolton (The Amazing World Of Gumball), who also writes and executive produces for the series. Other executive producers include Jim O’Hanlon (All In The Game), who also directs, and Josh Cole (Two Doors Down). The studio that produces the comedy series is BBC Studios.
