Margot Robbie Hosting ‘SNL’ 42nd Season Premiere

Harley Quinn is going to give Joker a run for his money in the comedy arena.

Deadline reports that Suicide Squad and Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie is set to host the 42nd season premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The October 1st premiere of the late-night comedy variety series will feature The Weeknd as the musical guest.

This upcoming season will feel a bit emptier with the absence of Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah, though new performers Alex Moffat (Second City alum), Melissa Villaseñor (America’s Got Talent), and SNL writer Mikey Day will fill some of the gap when they debut in the premiere.

The 42nd season of the legendary late-night comedy series will still have a solid month to continue to milk comedy from the current election. In the past, SNL has seen great success during election years, from Will Ferrell as George W. Bush to Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

This will be Robbie’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live. The Weeknd is a returning musical guest, with new album Starboy coming out November 25th.
