Animated Sci-fi Comedy ‘Solar Opposites’ Is Now Streaming on Hulu With New Red Band Trailer

The 20th Century Fox produced series, Solar Opposites, premiered on Hulu today with much fanfare. Co-created by Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty, Adventure Time) and former head writer of Rick and Morty, Mike McMahan (Star Trek: Short Treks), Solar Opposites concentrates on the lives of an alien family who evacuated their home planet after it was obliterated.

Landing in the suburbs of America and attempting to adjust to their new home, the aliens have mixed feelings on how they are assimilating to the American lifestyle. Vorvo, the head of the family and voiced by Roiland, and Yumyulack, Vorvo’s replicant, voiced by Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs, The Secret Life of Pets 2), both hold cynical impressions of Earth because of its toxic consumerism, pollution and the human’s pitiable weaknesses. While Terry (Thomas Middleditch: Zombieland: Double Tap, Silicon Valley) and Jesse, Terry’s replicant (Mary Mack: Golan the Insatiable, Twin Cities), are enthralled by all human activities, especially the plethora of greasy, fattening foods. However, their real mission is to assure the growth and protection of a sophisticated super computer, Pupa, that will eventually evolve into its mature form, consume them, and completely transform the entirety of the Earth.

The voice talents involved in the voice cast of the eight episode first season are Alan Tudyk, Alfred Molina, Amanda Leighton, Andrew Matarazzo, Andy Daly, Calum Worthy, Chris Cox, Christina Hendricks, Echo Kellum, Eric Bauza, Gary Anthony Williams, Gideon Adlon, Jacob Vargus and Jason Mantzoukas.
