Temuera Morrison to Play Boba Fett in ‘The Mandalorian’

The Hollywood Reporter announced on Friday that Temuera Morrison (Aquaman) will be Boba Fett in Disney+ series The Mandalorian for the second season. The actor played Jango Fett in 2002’s Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clone and will come back as the bounty hunter’s son in October. Season 2 will feature actor Michael Biehn (Terminator) as well as directors Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel) and Peyton Reed (Ant-Man). According to Variety, it is also rumored that actress Rosario Dawson (Sin City) will make a guest appearance as Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice.

Boba Fett’s character was teased in season two episode “The Gunslinger” when a ominous figure approached Fennec Shand’s (Ming-Na Wen) dead body. Even if he is only meant to play a little role, Boba’s return is a surprising twist as he allegedly fell to his death into a sarlacc pit on 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Fett was played by English actor Jeremy Bulloch (Star Wars) in the original trilogy, and by a 14-year-old Daniel Logan (Sharknado) in the prequel trilogy. Throughout the movies, Jango Fett is revealed to have provided the genetic template for every Stormtrooper and Boba himself is the result of the cloning process. But for now, the real question is to know if the latter will participate in the protection of Baby Yoda in the next season.

Mandalorian season two is anticipated to debut in October on Disney+.
