Watch the New Trailer For ‘Master of None’ Season 2

Eat, pray, Dev? That seems to be the message Netflix is trying to send with the new trailer for Season 2 of Aziz Ansari comedy Master of None. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the new glimpse into the life of Ansari’s Dev and his friends/family was released by Netflix Wednesday. Check it out below.

It appears that Dev is getting a little cultured during the Italy trip alluded to at the end of Season 1. Sipping espresso, roaming on a scooter, and wearing a fancy hat in black and white are all sure signs that somebody is living life right. The trailer also shows Dev on a near revolving door of dates, meaning on again off again girlfriend Rachel (Noel Wells) has likely bid her final addio to the series. Tragic, but as the series has taught us, life moves pretty fast. Plus, things were getting a little too up and down toward the end of that anyway.

The new season is set to pick up with Dev’s travels abroad and eventual return to New York. His new experiences may have been eye opening, but it doesn’t mean that he won’t still be faced with the same kinds of struggles we saw in the first installment. The new logline released Wednesday also hints at a new relationship blooming.

Co-stars Eric Wareheim and Lena Waithe are featured in the trailer, and fans will be happy to know that Ansari’s parents will return to play the same role to Dev. Along with those regulars, the series is also set to feature guest stars who range from John Legend to The Jabbawockeez. Kelvin Yu is also still around in the role of best friend Brian, a loose interpretation of co-creator Alan Yang.

The series is executive produced by Ansari, Yang, Michael Schur, Dave Becky, David Miner, and Igor Srubshchik.

Master of None Season 2 premieres May 12 on Netflix. Stay tuned with mxdwn Television for any updates leading up to the big release.
