‘The Orville’ Gets An Optimistic Update For Season Four From Cast Member

According to Screerant, Seth MacFarlane’s (Family Guy) The Orville received  an optimistic update for the upcoming season four from cast member Chad L. Coleman (The Wire). Recently in January, Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment president Craig Erwich gave a vague assessment regarding the show’s future. Erwich had praised the series as well as Macfarlane for the intriguing sci-fi comedy and had acknowledged its fanbase, but regardless. stated that there is nothing new to share in regards to the series being rendered for more episodes.

Coleman who recently spoke with CinemaBlend gave a very optimistic update on the possibility of a season four for the series. The actor stated that there is a belief that it will happen, but that ‘’things are still up in the air’’.

Coleman said,’’ We’re all in the loop and out of the loop. We think it’s gonna happen, but it’s still up in the air. There’s so much going on with all of these studios that it’s just like, ‘Well, we gotta settle this thing first, then we can really decide on that thing.’ A bunch of that is going on. We hope so. Seth has an amazing relationship with Dana Walden (The Glee Project) and with Disney, who’s running it now. And they said they’ve had promising meetings, so we’ll see.’’

Set 400 years into the future, The Orville follows the journey of U.S.S Orville as they continue their mission of exploration, navigating both the mysteries of the universe as well as the complexities of their own relationships.

Other than MacFarlane and Coleman, cast members of the series include Adrianne Palicki (John Wick), Penny Johnson Jerald (24), Scott Grime (American Dad), J. Lee (aTypical Wednesday), Jessica Szohr (Tower Heist), Peter Macon (Shameless), Mark Jackson (The Royal Today), and many others.

The current three seasons of The Orville are available to stream on Hulu.
