It would appear that the X-Men’s journey is far from over and that an exciting update surrounding the third season of the animated series was release bound for 2027. According to Screenrant, this news comes just from a week before the intial release date of the second season, which promises to be a jam-packed adventure with the the team having been splt up between the future and past, ultimately facing against different versions of Apocalypse. Not only will audience will see iconic characters such as Cyclops, voiced by Ray Chase (Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen), Storm, voiced by Alison Sealy Smith (What If…?, Doomlands) and Wolverine, voiced by Cal Dodd (Scott Pilgrims Takes Off, King) but also new ones which include Colossus, Psylocke, and Angel.
Reported by Screenrant, one of the series producer, Larry Houston (Xiaolin Chronicles, Turtles Forever) spoke in an interview with The Direct , Luckily, the production problems won’t occur again. There was a huge gap of time between [season] one and two. They’ve learned their lessons, so with [seasons] three and four, that won’t happen again… That was a one-off.”
Stated by Screenrant, the popular sequel has been one of Marvel’s most successful projects since its first season, which earned an outstanding 99% Rotten Tomatoes score from critics and 91% from audiences—proving that the narrative has reinvented the franchise and recaptured its fans. Not only is a third season on the way, but the team behind the series has already planned ahead for the show’s future with a fourth season.
