The Band Perry will open the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6 on CBS.
The Band Perry opens the ACM Awards telecast with their new single, “Chainsaw.” Miranda Lambert and George straight will honor Merle Haggard’s country music career of 50 years with a performance including “Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down” and “I’m a Lonesome Fugitive.” Garth Brooks will present Haggard with the Crystal Milestone award. Hunter Hayes will perform “Invisible” in conjunction with ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line will perform “This Is How We Roll” via live remote from the Mandalay Bay Events Center while Nitro Circus shows off their BMX skills during the 4th Annual ACM Fan Jam.
There will be special performances from Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, Miranda Lambert, George Strait and Florida Georgia Line. Other previously announced performers are Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and Lady Antebellum with legendary musician Stevie Nicks.
Dick Clark Productions produce The ACM Awards with executive producers Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, R. A. Clark and Bob Romero as executive producer for the Academy of Country Music. Barry Adelman is producer.
The ACM Awards airs on Sunday, April 6 (8:00-11:00PM, live ET/delayed PT) live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
