Sean Saves the World starring Sean Hayes receives a back five order from NBC even though the show was struggling to gain viewers.
According to Deadline, NBC has ordered five more episodes for Sean Saves the World, bringing the episode total for season one to 18. NBC had previously ordered four scripts from the show, created by Victor Fresco.
The show received the additional episodes because ratings rose from the lead in from The Voice. The show is executive produced by Fresco, Hayes and Todd Milliner. Co-starring alongside Hayes are Megan Hilty, Thomas Lennon, Samantha Isler and Linda Lavin.
Sean Saves the World airs Thursdays at 9.
