‘Schitt’s Creek’ Now At No. 1 Of Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 List

Following their immense success at the Emmy Awards, Schitt’s Creek is now at No. 1 on Nielsen’s list of top 10 most-streamed shows in the United States for the week of September 28, according to VarietyIt’s believed that after dominating awards at the Emmys, more people ventured to watch the series. Netflix’s surprise drop of its final season was also seemingly related to its rise in viewership. Originally expected to appear on Netflix on October 7, Netflix uploaded season six of Schitt’s Creek appears on October 3.

Among the weeks most streamed programs included Schitt’s Creek, The Office, The Blacklist, and Grey’s Anatomy. Meanwhile, following two weeks in the top slots, Netflix’s Ratched was pushed to No. 5, followed by Netflix’s new true crime documentary American Murder: The Family Next Door.

Nielsen’s ranking consists of the amount of minutes are streamed of each series during the week. Between September 28 and October 4, viewers watched 968 million total minutes of Schitt’s Creek.
