Rapper Megan Thee Stallion To Appear in Disney+’s ‘She-Hulk’

After making a swift appearance in Chucalissa, Miss., for Starz’s stripper drama P-Valley, Tina Snow bka Megan Thee Stallion is shifting her acting chops to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Traumazine lyricist disclosed she has an upcoming cameo on Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in an interview with The Cut. While she didn’t reveal details of the role, she spoke about how fellow rapper-turned-actors Queen Latifah (Set It Off, The Equalizer) and Ice Cube (Three Kings, Barbershop) are her inspirations for this transition.

“When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” Megan Thee Stallion explained to The Cut. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.” Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Ruth Pete, may just reach those heights as she’s previously established an overall deal with Netflix.

She-Hulk, which will air its third episode on Thursday, Sept. 1, follows Tatiana Maslany (Perry Mason, Orphan Black) as Jennifer Walters, a competent lawyer whose career is complicated when she haphazardly inherits similar powers to the Hulk. The series stars Mark Ruffalo (This Much I Know Is True, Spotlight) reprising his role as Bruce Banner, Jennifer’s cousin; Jameela Jamil (Legendary, The Good Place) as villain Titania; Tim Roth (Planet of the Apes, The Hateful Eight) returning as Emil Blonsky aka The Abomination; and, Ginger Gonzaga (Kidding, Mixology) as Jennifer’s best friend and paralegal, Nikki Ramos.

Megan’s Hot Role Summer isn’t stopping anytime soon. Entertainment Weekly reports the Houston-born artist will also appear in an upcoming musical comedy from A24. But her dream role is to remix a classic teen comedy character made famous by Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys 2, The Inspection). She would like to portray Clovers’ cheerleader captain, Isis, in a reboot of the early 2000s hit, Bring It On.
