Quibi announced October 17 that the platform had greenlighted the comedy competition series Gayme Show. Matt Rogers (Las Culturistas podcast) and Dave Mizzoni (stand up comedian) will continue to host on this new platform.

Gayme Show has been a live comedy show for a few years now. The purpose of the show is to “uplift and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.” Rogers and Mizzoni have been around the country with their game and lots of fun guests. They describe the show on their Twitter as, “Two straight guys battle head to head in a quest to uncover WHO is Honorarily Gay as Fuck.”

Rogers commented to Deadline that, “Dave and I are thrilled to bring Gayme Show to Quibi after performing it as a live show for the past couple years.” Mizzoni went on to add, “We’re thrilled to showcase how the energy and comedy of our live show is translated to and even enhanced by this new format.”

Jax Media will produce Gayme Show. Their list of crdits includes Broad City, Russian Doll, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

The streaming service will cost $4.99 a month with advertising and $7.99 without for its subscribers. On its launch date, April 6, at least 7,000 pieces of content will be available.
