‘Please Like Me’ Ending With Season 4

Hulu’s recently acquired Please Like Me will not be returning for a fifth season.

Deadline reports that series creator and star Josh Thomas broke the news on Twitter, thanking fans, cast and crew for supporting the series.

“This show is so intensely personal, it recreates the most intimate moments of my life and lays them out for anyone to watch. Seeing how people have connected with this show has been tremendously confidence building for me and I’m really grateful for that,” Thomas wrote. “This show has brought me so much joy and I’m sad it’s over but also things have to end. I’m focusing now on what’s next, I hope to see you there.”

Please Like Me, inspired by Thomas’ own life experiences and standup comedy, follows Thomas as he comes to terms with himself and his life following a break-up. The series originated in Australia, and aired its first three seasons on Pivot in the US before moving to Hulu for season 4. Please Like Me also starred Thomas Ward, Debra Lawrence, Caitlin Stasey, David Roberts, Renee Lim, Hannah Gadsby and Keegan Joyce.
