“One Tree Hill” Cast Reunited at Fan Convention

Over the weekend, some of the cast of One Tree Hill, one of the more popular teen dramas that aired on The WB and The CW from 2003 through 2012, reunited over the weekend. According to Hollywood Life, James Lafferty (Nathan Scott), Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James Scott), Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott), Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller) and Stephen Colletti (Chase Adams), among other cast members, reunited at a fan convention.

This isn’t the first time the cast has reunited at a fan convention. According to The Huffington Post, this is the cast’s second reunion at the “Eyecon OTH Convention,” which takes place in Wilmington, North Carolina, which is where the show was originally filmed.

The cast members that reunited took to Twitter and Instagram to document all the behind-the-scenes action, including Lafferty posting a photo with his on-screen son, captioning it as “Father/Son time.”
Fans were also treated to a photo of fan-favorite couple Nathan and Haley (affectionately known as Naley), as Lafferty and Lenz took a picture together, saying that after all this time, the couple is still together “always and forever.”

One Tree Hill started out on The WB after another one of the show’s popular teen dramas, Dawson’s Creek, ended its six-season run in May 2003. When The WB and UPN merged to form The CW, One Tree Hill finished its run on the network.

The show centered around two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, and their mutual love for basketball. When it first started, the two brothers had a strong disliking for each other and Nathan was upset that Lucas had joined the basketball team. Viewers then saw the bond between the two brothers grow as the seasons went on.

The show also produced many memorable couples, like the fan-favorite couple, Naley, and the fan-splitting couples of the Brooke-Lucas-Peyton love triangle that culminated in the sixth season when Lucas and Peyton got married, had a daughter and rode off into the sunset. Brooke ended up marrying Julian Baker in the eighth season of the show.

Fans also started out hating the father of the Scott brothers, Dan Scott, who, in the third season, shot and killed his older brother, Keith, in the school shooting episode. However, in the final season of the show, fans warmed up to Dan as he died saving his son’s life and was welcomed to the afterlife by Keith.

For fans of the show who want to relive the magic of Tree Hill, North Carolina and get a life lesson from Tree Hill High School basketball coach, Coach Whitey, the show is available to stream on Netflix.
