When we last saw The Saviors post on The Walking Dead, it was empty and littered with the bodies of walkers. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) was surveying the carnage with Jadis while asking over walkie-talkie for a update. There was no response.
The below clip provides an explanation for how The Saviors escaped and who was around to witness.
It appears Morgan (Lennie James) was staking out the compound with some snipers in tow. The Saviors seem to have acquired some ammunition (likely with Eugene’s assistance) and use it to clear a path of escape mowing down walkers. Morgan shares this with the rest of the team and does what he can to prevent too many from getting away.
We know Rick and friends are huddled down underground after suffering attacks by Neegan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his crew at Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom. They are also coping with the impending death of Carl (Chandler Riggs) who is suffering from a bite received when he recruited Siddiq and had to fight off walkers (episode 6).
In other Walking Dead news, we know Morgan will be appearing in Season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead. Additionally, Lauren Cohan’s contract for season 9 has not been confirmed with rumors of her shopping for new series going around.
The mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead is Sunday, February 24 on AMC.
