Madeleine Stowe Will Co-Star in FOX’s Musical Drama ‘Mixtape’

Madeleine Stowe (former Revenge Golden Globe-nominee) has become the first cast member for FOX’s Mixtape. This will be her first regular season role since her time in Revenge. She has also played in: 12 Monkeys, Short Cuts, We Were Soldiers, and The General’s Daughter. Stowe is also the director and co-writer for the upcoming Western feature Unbound Captive. By joining this series, this marks her return to television.

Stowe will play as Margot. Her character description is an actress who carefully controls how she presents herself to the world, but she is secretly exhausted by having to do it.

Mixtape (FOX’s new pilot order) is described as a romantic musical drama that looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are. Mixtape captures the different stages of love. It explores if time can heal a broken heart, as well as, if love can withstand life’s tragedies.

The project is being written by Josh Safran (former Smash showrunner). He will also be executive producing the show with: Annapurna’s Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, and co-executive producer Ali Krug.
