Netflix Renews ‘Unstable’ For A Second Season

According to Variety, Netflix has recently renewed Unstable for second season. The series aired earlier this year in March and stars Rob Lowe (9-1-1: LoneStar) who plays Ellis Dragon and his son John Owen Lowe (Holiday in the Wild) who plays Jackson Dragon. Both father and son are credited as being co-creators of the series. The father and son duo are also executive producers along with showrunner Andrew Gurland (The Last Exorcism) who also executive produces.

The Lowes in a statement said, “It’s a dream come true for us to jump back into the world of Unstable. Here’s to season two and the many hours of family therapy that we will need along the way.”

According to Variety,  the official description of the series is, “Ellis Dragon is a universally admired, eccentric, narcissist-adjacent biotech entrepreneur working to make the world a better place. He’s also in an emotional free-fall. His son Jackson Dragon is… none of those things. Can Jackson save Ellis and his company and salvage their estranged relationship while also doing what may be impossible: escaping the shadow of his larger-than-life father?”

The series cast also includes Sian Clifford (See How They Run) as Anna, Aaron Branch (Millennials) as Malcolm, Rachel Marsh (Just Beyond) as Luna, Emma Ferreira (Midnight at the Paradise) as Ruby, Fred Armisen (Portlandia) as Leslie, Tom Allen (Chad Kroeger) as TJ,  J.T. Parr (Chad & JT Go Deep) as Chaz, Christina Chang (28 Days), Jean, Frank Gallegos (Logan) as Juan, and many others. Sean Clements (Curb Your Enthusiasm) also executive produces and Claire Scanlon (Set It Up) is executive producer and director on the series.

Season one of Unstable is available to stream on Netflix.
