NBC Cancels Brilliant Minds’ And ‘Stumble’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC canceled Brilliant Minds and Stumble, two scripted series that were near the bottom in ratings for the network.

As per The Hollywood ReporterBrilliant Minds Medical drama starring Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness.) will end after only two seasons. NBC earlier this year pulled the show from its post-Olympics schedule. The series is loosely based on the work of neurologist Oliver Sacks (Awakenings, Hallucinations). The final episode of the series will run during the summer, starting on May 27. Stumble mockumentary about a college cheer squad and its coach. He was fired from the team due to  partying with her team. After one season, the series was canceled and aired its final episode.

According to The Hollywood ReporterBrilliant Minds is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television. The cast of the series included  Tamberla Perry (They Cloned Tyrone, The Tam and Kevin Show), Ashleigh LaThrop (Utopia, Uncle John), Alex MacNicoll (Last Rampage, The Rising Hawk), Aury Krebs (Triple Threat, Maya), Spence Moore II (Back on the Strip, Five Point), Teddy Sears (The Client List, A Waltons Thanksgiving), Donna Murphy (Tangled, The Gilded Age), John Clarence Stewart (Hats Off to Love, What/If), Brian Altemus (Grrand Army, Harlan Coben’s Shelter), Al Calderon (Hello Again, Stealing Cars), and many others. Stumble, from Universal TV, also stars Taran Killam (Killing Gunther, High Potential), Ryan Pinkston (Extreme Movie, Full of It), Jarrett Austin Brown (Blue Light, Saturday Church), Anissa Borrego (48 Hours to Live, Incoming), Arianna Davis (Dancing with You, True to the Game), Taylor Dunbar (Ravel, Fairytale) and Georgie Murphy (Safehaven, Shut Eye).

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the series was among NBC’s least-watched scripted series of the season. Brilliant Minds averaged just above 3 million viewers, a smaller total than any other drama on the network this season. Stumble, meanwhile, came in at 2.24 million viewers.

Brilliant Minds and Stumble are available to stream on Hulu.
