Most recently seen on Saturday Night Live playing Vice President Kamala Harris, Maya Rudolph (The Good Place) is gearing up to star in an upcoming comedy series from Apple TV+. According to TVLine, the currently untitled series is from the executive producers of Rudolph’s former project, Forever.

Rudolph will star as Molly, a woman living a perfect life until her husband unexpectedly dies, and leaves her the heiress to a fortune of $87 billion. Via TVLine, the project was ordered straight to series on March 18 and each episode will be a half-hour.

In addition to starring in the series, Rudolph will executive produce the series with Alan Yang (producer, Master of None) and Matt Hubbard (producer, Parks and Recreation). Both Yang and Hubbard are attached as co-creators and writers on the series.

The series will serve as a collaborative reunion for Rudolph, Yang, and Hubbard, who all worked together on the Amazon Prime original series, Forever, which was co-created by Yang and Hubbard. Forever starred Rudolph, as June, a woman in a comfortable suburban marriage who finds herself in strange situations that require her to consider where marriage fits in the afterlife, via IMDb.

Before she is seen in the still untitled Apple comedy, Rudolph will return to SNL to host the March 27 episode, according to TVLine. The actress and comedians latest credits include Fox’s Bless the Harts and Netflix’s Big Mouth, both of which she provides her talents as a voice actor.

Rudolph’s comedy series comes amongst a slew of female star vehicles including Roar, an anthology series, Lady in the Lake and The Essex Serpent. Via TVLine, Roar is set to Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Cynthia Erivo (Harriet), and Alison Brie (GLOW). Lady in the Lake will star Natalie Portman (Black Swan) and Lupita Nyong’o (Us). Finally, The Essex Serpent has announced that both Claire Danes (Homeland) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor) will be starring.
