Matt Nix’s new medical drama is nearing a pilot order from the USA Network, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The new drama titled Complications comes from Burn Notice’s showrunner Matt Nix. It tells a story of an emergency room doctor whose life changes after he is involved in a gang shooting and is forced to explore how active a doctor can be in treating the cause of his patients’ problems.
Nix penned the script and is set to executive produce the project for Fox Television Studios. It was originally put into development in May as part of the cabler’s upfront development slate.
Complications will join the USA show list as the network is preparing to conclude Burn Notice following its seventh season ending September 12.
