Ahead of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier March premiere date, Disney+ and Marvel Studios will provide some recaps on the show’s main characters. The series, which is entitled Marvel Studios: Legends, will premiere on Disney+ on March 12, the week before the Falcon and the Winter Soldier March 19 premiere. The Legends series will provide some recap episodes on the characters of Baron Zemo, Sharon Carter, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier to allow audiences to catch up on the timelines of these characters before the show’s premiere, according to Comicbook.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier have previously announced the show will focus on the team of Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Sam Wilson/Falcon following the death of Captain America in Avengers: Endgame. In the upcoming Disney+ series, Sebastian Stan (I, Tonya, Black Swan) and Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) are reprising their roles as Wilson and Barnes respectively in addition to the inclusion of the returning Sharon Carter, portrayed by Emily VanCamp (Everwood, The Resident), and Helmut Zemo, portrayed by Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds). Each of these characters will get their own respective installments in the form of Legends episodes that will provide greater context about what to expect about their respective status since audiences last saw these characters.
Marvel Studios: Legends will offer the first glimpses of what fans can expect from Falcon and the Winter Soldier through its character recaps. However, it is uncertain whether Disney+ and Marvel will continue to employ this series as a recapping tool for other future series such as Loki, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and many more.
