Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Craig Robinson’s untitled and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels’ Bust Down new comedies are coming to NBC’s Peacock, according to Deadline. The two comedy veterans have reached series order commitments from the streaming service. Peacock has handed Robinson and Brooklyn Nine-Nine pair Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici ten episode series order for the untitled comedy, formerly named Killing It, according to Deadline.
Deadline reports the untitled Robinson project is about class, capitalism and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes. The series reunites The Office star Robinson with Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creators Goor and Del Tridici who will write and executive produce the new project. Produced by Universal Television Studios the series will also be executive produced by Robinson and Mark Shulman.
Michaels’ upcoming comedy is titled Bust Down starring Chris Redd (Netflix’s Disjointed), Sam Jay (Sam Jay: 3 In The Morning), Langston Kerman (Insecure, The Boys) and Jak Knight (Big Mouth, Lucas Bros. Moving Company) as four casino employees working a dead-end job in middle America attempting to find self worth in their bad ideas, according to Deadline.
Produced by Universal Television and Michael’s Broadway Video, the casino comedy Bust Down has contracted a six episode order from Peacock. AP Bio and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia director Richie Keen is set to helm executive producing with Andrew Singer (Women Without Men) and Hilary Marx (AP Bio).
