The network has revealed a glimpse of the Aaliyah biopic titled Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
After originally casted lead Zendaya Coleman dropped out of the project, Alexandra Shipp replaced her role as Aaliyah for the film. The trailer, in addition to the pop star’s dance and fashion talents, shows a glimpse into the fatal day that the singer died in 2001 in a plane crash.
The Lifetime biopic airs November 15.
