NBC has renewed police procedural Law and Order: SVU for a 16th season.
After the network worked out issues with Dick Wolf Films and parting with costars Dan Florek and Richard Belzer, SVU will return for its 16th season.
In its 15th season, SVU averaged a 1.8 in the adults 18-49 demographic, andthe number went up to a 2.8 including the seven day re-run. SVU is the only remaining member of the Law and Order family. With this renewal, Wolf will have three shows, SVU, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD, on the air.
