Lana Condor to Executive Produce and Star in Netflix’s ‘Boo, Bitch’

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before‘s Lana Condor is moving from rom-coms to comedy television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Condor will star in and executive produce a limited series titled Boo, Bitch for Netflix.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, Boo, Bitch is set to be an eight part limited series comedy taking place over one night in a high school senior’s life. The senior, played by Condor, has lived her life safely and without risk. One night, she is provided with the chance to change everything, and decides to live the life she’s always dreamed of – that is, until she wakes up and realizes she’s now a ghost.

Condor retweeted the announcement on her Twitter, expressing her excitement for her next collaboration with Netflix.

Newcomers Tim Schauer and Kuba Soltysiak created the idea on which the series will be based. They will be aided by Lauren Iungerich (showrunner, On My Block) and Erin Ehrlich (producer, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), who are both credited as co-creators and showrunners on the series thanks to their revisions on Schauer and Soltysiak’s script. To fill out the production team, Jonathon Komack Martin (producer, Deadpool), Blake Goza (producer, The Escort) and Jamie Dooner (producer, On My Block) will assist the project as executive producers, via The Hollywood Reporter.

The Boo, Bitch team assembles many successful Netflix collaborators. Just this week, the streamer ordered a fourth and final season of Iungerich’s On My Block. Additionally, the news of the new series comes only one week before the final film in the To All the Boys trilogy, Always and Forever, releases on the streaming platform. Always and Forever will mark the end of Condor’s role as Laura Jean Covey, which catapulted her to fame as the first Asian-American young adult romantic comedy female lead.

While Boo, Bitch currently has no announced production or premiere time frame, fans can catch Condor in To All the Boys: Always and Forever on February 12, and in the upcoming HBO Max film Moonshot, produced by Greg Berlanti.
