‘Invincible’ Renewed For Season Six As Jack Quaid Joins Voice Cast

Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid)

Prime Video has more superhero news on the way with new Variety report. During the streamer’s first Studio Focus Panel at the Annecy Animation Festival, Invincible received an early Season six renewal, while executive producer Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Outcast) also announced that Jack Quaid (The Boys, Novocaine) will join the voice cast in Season five.

According to Variety, Quaid will voice Gravitator, also known as Chris, in the upcoming fifth season. Kirkman unveiled the casting alongside a first-look image of the character during the presentation.

The renewal means Invincible has now been picked up through its sixth season before Season five has even premiered. Variety reports that the decision makes it Prime Video’s longest-running animated original series to date.

The announcement also marks another major project for Quaid. mxdwn recently covered the actor discussing the final season of The Boys, in which he reflected on fan theories about the series’ ending while remaining tight-lipped about how Hughie Campbell’s story concludes. With The Boys now finished, Invincible gives Quaid another high-profile role within Prime Video’s growing lineup.

mxdwn also previously reported that Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Westworld) had teased his return to Invincible through social media, fueling speculation about what fans could expect from the series’ future. The latest renewal and Quaid’s casting continue to show Prime Video’s long-term commitment to expanding the show’s world.

Kirkman appeared at the Annecy panel with Prime Video Head of Animation Melissa Wolfe, who helped deliver the renewal announcement. Variety notes the event also featured executive producers Sam Riegel (The Legend of Vox MachinaCritical Role), Vivienne Medrano (Helluva BossHazbin Hotel), and Dave Wilson (Secret Level, Love, Death & Robots), highlighting several of Prime Video’s current and upcoming animated projects.

Wolfe said the Annecy presentation reflected Prime Video’s growing commitment to animation, citing Invincible‘s early renewal alongside projects such as Wytches, Lore Olympus, and Conan the Barbarian. With a fifth season still ahead and a sixth already confirmed, Invincible continues to cement its place as one of the streamer’s flagship animated series.
