Apple TV Increases Streaming Price Effective Immediately

Attention Apple TV subscribers, as of today, Apple TV has increased the price of streaming today, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  The monthly subscription fee is now $14 a month and the annual fee is now $119.

Apple TV is a streaming service where you can watch exclusive original movies, television, and live sports ad-free. Apple TV is home to shows like Pluribus, Monarch, Severance, Ted Lasso and the list goes on. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apple TV isn’t the only streaming service that has experienced a price hike. For instance, Peacock has raised its pricing earlier this month ahead of the return of the NBA and NFL seasons. This marks the fourth price increase that Apple TV has went through in four years. During this time the streaming service only had a limited amount of content. Over time the streaming service would get more content and with more content, there would eventually come more subscribers.

According to Deadline, executives from Apple have noted that viewership for Apple TV has been at an all time high as early as July during the last quarter. The streaming service has made bold strides when it came to the tech division when it comes Apple as a company.  The revenue for the company was able to rise at 12% and was able to get the company around $30.7 billion for the June quarter. It is important to note that Apple TV is one of the few major streaming services that doesn’t offer an ad-supported plan. The streaming service has had 87 Emmy nominations for shows such as, Widow’s Bay, The Studio, Slow Horses, Your Friends & Neighbors, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and Shrinking.

Keep this information in the mind should you consider subscribing to Apple TV. For those who are already subscribed to Apple TV you will notified about this price change one month prior.
