HBO Orders Duplass Brothers Comedy

HBO has put out a series order for the comedy Togetherness.

The Hollywood Reporter explains that the half-hour comedy from Jay and Mark Duplass will begin production in 2014. Amanda Peet and Melanie Lynskey star in the show.

Togetherness follows two couples living under the same roof that struggle to keep their relationship alive while pursuing their individual dreams. The two brothers will write, executive produce and direct. The comedy marks their first small-screen writing gig, following features Jeff, and Who Lives at Home.

Duplass Brothers Productions’ producer Stephanie Langhoff will serve as a co-executive producer for the project.

In addition to Togetherness, HBO is gaining comedies Silicon Valley, Jonathan Groff’s Getting On and Stephen Merchant’s Hello Ladies in addition to Girls and Veep.
