Fire And Fury Return: ‘House Of The Dragon’ Season Two Set To Soar This Summer

The popular fantasy named House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones, is set to make its return this year. The series takes place 172 years ago and follows the events that will lead to the decline of House Targayren. The show shows the perspective of Queen Rhaenyra, played by Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers) , as she faces difficulties throughout her reign. The first season’s finale left viewers on a cliffhanger, with tensions at an all-time high between the two warring factions of the Targaryen family.

Along With Eve Beast, other cast members of the series include Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), and many more. According to Deadline,JB Perrette, the President of Global Streaming and Games for Warner Bros. Discovery, the second season of the acclaimed fantasy series is scheduled to premiere in June this year.

In addition to revealing the month in which House of the Dragon is going to premiere, Perrette spoke about the previous content line-up, which was on the lighter side. He explained, ““In the eight months following [Max launch], for a variety of reasons, some that we knew about some that were related to the strike, we went into probably the lightest content slate we’ve ever had. So in the back half of last year, our pay one movies were significantly less volume, our Warner Bros. slate, other than Barbie, which is obviously a huge hit, was lighter, and not as strong as we had hoped.”

According to Deadline, HBO’s content chief, Casey Bott, stated last November that the season will premiere this summer, and Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO, David Zaslav, confirmed this. A teaser for the approaching season is released and gives a glimpse of the upcoming battle between the members of the Targaryen family.

Overall, season two will likely be a fast-paced and action-packed journey. While fans are waiting on further information surrounding the second season, the entire first season is available to stream now on Max.
