Female Lead Cast For ‘Walking Dead’ Prequel

Kim Dickens will star opposite Cliff Curtis in Walking Dead Prequel, Cobalt.

Gone Girl and Son’s of Anarchy alum Kim Dickens has been chosen to co-star in AMC’s Walking Dead prequel after an extensive search. The Walking Dead prequel series project from creator Robert Kirkman and showrunner Dave Erickson known as Cobalt, takes place in Los Angeles at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cobalt will be new ground for Kirkman’s zombie story.  Kirkman’s graphic novels, which serve as the base of The Walking Dead,  have never explored the origins of the zombie apocalypse.

Cliff Curtis will star beside Kim Dickens as Sean Cabrera, a teacher who shares a son with his ex-wife, and a good man who tries to do right by everyone. Dickens will play Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor who works with and also dates Sean. Nancy has two kids of her own, and a troubled past.
