Emilia Clarke Discusses Jon Snow’s Death and Possible Return on ‘Game of Thrones’

Emilia Clarke made a comment that she has “no idea” if Jon Snow is really dead.

Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, died in the season five finale of Game of Thrones. The character was assassinated in the Night’s Watch by his own men. Harington and both showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have claimed that Jon is truly dead. Online fans have concocted theories on how they think Jon might have survived. The fans’ theories could simply be based on pure hope that their favorite is still alive.

Emilia Clarke plays Daenerys on the show and she is adding to the theory that Jon might still be alive. The Game of Thrones star had an interview with MTV in which she discussed the possible return of one of the most idolized characters of the show. She said, “I read the scripts and I cried and I called David and Dan and took Kit out for numerous drinks. Looking forward, they know that I can’t lie very well. I can with all honesty say I have no idea what’s happening.” She then went on to conclude that she believes there is still a chance for his return based on the fact that there are helpful people who could give him life again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, fans have already speculated that Melisandre (Carice Van Houten), who possesses impressive magical abilities, could potentially bring Jon back to life. Another idea is that Jon’s brother Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), who has strange abilities of his own, could also do the deed.
