According to Deadline, Drea De Matteo (Sons of Anarchy, Desperate Housewives) has made an account for purchase on the NSFW website OnlyFans. One of De Matteo’s most notable roles was her time spent on The Sopranos as Adriana. She starred in the first five seasons of the hit HBO show and Matteo also returned for two episodes in season six. She was also awarded an Emmy for her role as Adriana.
De Matteo confessed, “People find that hard to believe that I was never really paid very much money for any of the jobs I’ve done. People think I’m made of fucking gold, and I’m not. I’ve worked job to job.” This is how De Matteo explained her decision to join OnlyFans and what drove her to the site.
OnlyFans, a NSFW, subscription based website hit the worldwide web in 2016 and quickly gained traction within celebrities. Some of the most notable being Cardi B (Hustlers, Fast X), Chris Brown (Takers, Stomp the Yard), Denise Richards (Two and a Half Men, Wild Things) and Bella Thorne (Shake it Up, Midnight Sun).
Deadline notes that De Matteo’s initial decision to join the site was due to the production slowdown during the pandemic, she also mentioned her intense desire to be home to take care of her children. De Matteo states, “Things have changed in the last three years. My kids have always been my No. 1 focus. I’ve turned down tons of jobs in the past just to be with my children because their dad is on the road, and he’s not around as much.” Shooter Jennings, a musician, fathers De Matteo’s children.
When De Matteo received some backlash in regards to her decision to join OnlyFans, she stated, “I just don’t care. I don’t. I’d rather save my family than save face. I know some people have said some nasty things about me having joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy’s a warrior, not accepting defeat.”
Defeat is something that De Matteo was dangerously close to facing. She opens up about her agent dropping her at 51 years old due to her stance on the Covid-19 vaccination. She mentions that she was struggling to get work in acting and almost lost her home because of it.
“I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I did not follow the rules a couple of years ago. So, I don’t want to be at the mercy of mandates or strike or anything like that ever again.” De Matteo is shameless in her choice to join OnlyFans and her drive and confidence is something to be commended.
