The stand-up comedian/actor Damon Wayans Jr. will keep playing his role as Coach on New Girl as a special guest star. Wayans was originally cast in the comedy series for four episodes because of his role on ABC’s Happy Endings. After the premature cancellation of Happy Endings, producers have closed a deal to extend the contract for the rest of the season.
