Cara Delevingne Set to Host and Executive Produce an All-Female Comedy Series for Quibi

Cara Delevingne will host and executive produce a practical joker series for the streaming sight Quibi. Quibi announced the untitled show in a press release yesterday.

In each episode of the show, Delevingne and her band of female accomplices will wreak havoc, executing a new stunt or practical joke – ranging from the ridiculous to the extreme – often putting themselves in unwieldy and unpredictable situations in the process.

The series is produced for Quibi by Sirens Media, an ITV America company, with Jessica Sebastian serving as executive producer. Sirens Media “creates content that emphasizes smart storytelling with an ‘edgy’ sensibility and pop culture roots.” Its credits include The Real Housewives of New JerseyCheap Eats, and a new project with Snapchat titled Nikita Dragun: Exposed.

“Cara’s an icon in so many ways, and it’s a privilege to partner with her to develop something that authentically encapsulates her unique energy and sensibility,” said Sirens Media President Jessica Sebastian. “As far as I know, a series in this space with this level of female guidance and representation, both in front of and behind the camera, is unprecedented, and we’re ecstatic to bring this new take on the genre to the ideal platform in Quibi.”

“I am so excited to be partnering with such a revolutionary streaming service like Quibi and cannot wait to unleash some necessary mischief,” added Delevingne. “As someone who watches so much content on my phone, this feels like such a perfect partnership.”

Delevingne is one of the most recognizable faces around the world. She made her debut in 2012 with the film Anna Karenina and since then has starred in DC Comics’ blockbuster Suicide Squad. Delevingne made her small screen debut in Amazon’s highly anticipated fantasy drama Carnival Row this fall. The eight-episode series was picked up for second season.

The streaming service will cost $4.99 a month with advertising and $7.99 without for its subscribers.
