Bryant Gumbel & Jane Pauley Reunite on ‘Today’

Bryant Gumbel and Jane Pauley will return to Today on December 30 to close out the year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the anchors will reunite on the NBC morning news show. They will join Matt Lauer at Rockefeller Center studio to co-anchor the Monday morning broadcast. As of now, this reunion is a one-time special event.

Gumbel was on Today for 15 years before leaving in 1997 and Pauley was on the show for 13 years before leaving in 1989. Pauley spent her last seven years at Today co-anchoring with Gumbel.

Gumbel appears on Today for the show’s 60th anniversary in 2012. Pauley appears on the show for her monthly segment, “Life Reimagined Today.”
