Bill Fagerbakke (Coach), is returning to NBC for the comedy’s revival.
Fagerbakke is joining the cast as a series regular alongside Craig T. Nelson. On the original series, Fagerbakke played special teams coach Michael “Dauber” Dybinski. In Coach‘s original series, he was a regular for the nine seasons on ABC.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Craig T. Nelson will reprise his role as Hayden Fox. He will also be an executive producer of the project. The new reprise will premiere sometime midseason on NBC. Craig Nelson’s character, Hayden, will be assisting his son in launching a new football program at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania.
The original creator is Barry Kemp. Kemp is reviving this comedy on NBC. So far, the only original cast members confirming their return are Nelson and Fagerbakke.
The comedy is produced by Universal Television.
Fagerbakke’s credits include his voice role as Patrick the Starfish on Spongebob Squarepants.
