BBC released the trailer for its award-winning hit show, Peaky Blinder‘s, sixth and final season, according to Deadline. An official air date has not been set, although it is expected to return in early 2022.
Cillian Murphy (A Quiet Place Part II, Dunkirk) stars as Thomas Shelby, a returning war hero who runs one of the most powerful gangs in Britain, known as the Peaky Blinders. In the upcoming final season, Thomas is seeking a means to finally retire the gang. The series also stars Tom Hardy (Venom), Paul Anderson (Legend), Finn Cole (Animal Kingdom), Anya Taylor-Joy (Emma), and Sophie Rundle (Gentleman Jack).
Creator Steven Knight (Locke) previously said via Deadline, “Peaky is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”
