Archie Panjabi Joins the Cast of ‘Snowpiercer’ for Season Three

Archie Panjabi (Dr. Patel, I know This Much Is True) has reportedly been cast in season three of TNT’s Snowpiercer series, according to ComicBook. Snowpiercer is currently running its second season and has already been renewed for season three. Fans of the series have a lot more to look forward to as the series delves into more complex plot lines and introduces an Emmy award winning actress like Panjabi.

Panjabi won an Emmy for her role as a supporting actress in CBS’s The Good Wife. Panjabi played a private investigator named Kalinda Sharma. She won fans over with her badass demeanor and spunky attitude. In the season three finale Kalinda purchases a sludge hammer from a local home improvement store so she can smash into a dry wall that holds a lump some of money and weapons. She bags the money and weapons and then walks out like it’s just another day in the life of Kalinda.

Snowpiercer is a spinoff series of the movie that premiered in 2013 starring Chris Evans (Captain America, Avengers: Endgame). The film revolves around a train that carries civilizations last surviving people in an apocalyptic world that has suffered from a second Ice Age. The interesting twist that the move introduced is that the train itself had a linked economy that divided social classes by the order of the cars. The impoverished citizens lived at the very back of the train, whereas the people with more wealth and power lived in the railroad cars closer to the front. It created unique tension and provided some compelling commentary on wealth distribution.

Fans of Panjabi will be eagerly awaiting her appearance in the Snowpiercer series as she has already established herself as a talented actress in the field of drama. Adding the fact that Sean Bean (Boromir, The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring) is playing Mr. Wilford, fans are sure to stay tuned.
