The AMC original horror series NOS4A2 has been canceled after two seasons for the network, according to Screen Rant. Based on a novel under the same name by Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box), the series was adapted to television by Jami O’Brien (Hell on Wheels). The series ran for two ten-episode seasons and recently concluded the second season on August 23 of 2020. The horror drama program was executive produced by the likes of O’Brien, Hill, Lauren Carrao (The Colbert Report, The Daily Show), and Kari Skogland (The Walking Dead, Vikings, The Handmaid’s Tale), who also acted as a director for the first two episodes of the series.
NOS4A2, pronounced as Nosferatu, is a horror program that follows the supernatural world that was created by Hill. The series surrounds Vic McQueen who is capable of tracking down the immortal figure of Charlie Manx, a villain that attacks children and releases their souls in his Christmasland. Vic’s mission throughout the series is to free these souls from Manx’s grasp and his imaginative world. The series features Vic portrayed by Ashleigh Cummings (Westside), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, American Horror Story) as Manx, Youtuber Jahkara J. Smith (Into the Dark) as Maggie Leigh, Ólafur Darrie Ólafsson (Trapped) as Bing Partridge, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, Girls) as Chris McQueen.
Additional cast includes the likes of Jonathan Langdon (Utopia Falls), Mattea Conforti (Power, Frozen II), Ashley Romans (Shameless), Virginia Kull (Big Little Lies, Boardwalk Empire), Judith Roberts (Orange is the New Black), Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation), and many more.
