The Avatarverse is continually growing with the recent release of its latest animated series, Avatar: The Seven Havens, which just received some exciting news. According to Deadline, it revealed at this year’s New York Comic-Con that Paramount+ has declared that the new series has been renewed for two additional seasons. The plot of the series takes place 250 years after The Legend of Korra, in which a young Earthbender, Pavi, voiced by Sahei Khan, discovers that she and her long-lost twin sister, Nisha, voiced by Aishu Devan, are both the Avatar, which has become an omen between the Havens.
They will not be alone on their journey, as they will be accompanied by Jae, voiced by Major Curda (Rivderdale, Godlike), who will be their airbending master. According to Deadline, ever since the release and the footage, many fans have raised some unanswered questions, which made the audience need answers, with such examples being: Did Korra, voiced by Janet Varney (The Legend of Vox Machina, Injustice), really cause the cataclysm, thus destroying the world?
Reported by Deadline, the renewal isn’t the only exciting inclusion to Seven Haven series been announced at Comic-Con, as a new spin–ff series is also in production. The series is called Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos, and follows a rebellious and adventurous teenager who takes an interesting approach to his journey by traveling the world while dodging an angry teacher, pirates, and spirits alike.
Between the Seven Haven and the Kuruk spin-off, it would appear that Avatar Studio is going all in to deliver an expansive storytelling across different eras within the bending world. Episodes one to three of Avatar: Seven Havens are available to stream on Paramount+, with weekly episodes released every Friday. Time will only tell what dangerous new obstacles Nisha and Pavi will face in the upcoming episodes and what mysteries they will uncover.
