Actors Eva Longoria, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Julia Louis-Dreyfus To Appear At 2020 Democratic National Convention

The 2020 Democratic National Convention, which will be presented virtually this week, will feature well-known actresses and other artists who have been rather outspoken in party politics in recent years, including Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids), Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish, mixed-ish, Girlfriends), Kerry Washington (Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep, Seinfeld), according to DeadlineThe convention will also feature performances from musicians Leon Bridges, The Chicks, Common, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, and John Legend.

The convention will run from 9am-11pm ET each night, where Longoria will appear on Monday, Ross on Tuesday, Washington on Wednesday, and Louis-Dreyfus on Thursday. Most recently, Ross has starred in the oftentimes political-driven ABC show black-ish since 2014, which delves into race and class from a more comedic standpoint. Louis-Dreyfus, who plays current Democratic nominee and former vice president Joe Biden’s fictional counterpart in her HBO series Veep, has already headlined a fundraiser for Biden where she appeared with him in a parody video during the run of the series. Meanwhile, Longoria and Washington have maintained their reputations as outspoken Democrats, both having spoken at the 2012 Democratic convention in North Carolina.

Alongside the roster of speakers and performers at the Democratic National Convention, Democrats have scheduled testimonials from everyday Americans who will speak from their homes across the nation, according to Deadline
