Deadline has reported that the Peaky Blinders sequel has added several new cast members. Conleth Hill (Game Of Thrones, Salmon Fishing In The Yemen), Daniel Monks (A Knight Of The Seven Kings, In The Room Where He Waits) and Packy Lee (The Shore, The Frankenstein Chronicles) have been cast in the series.
Hill will play Clammy Keeler, the head of the Keeler crime family who opposes the Peaky Blinders. Monks will join on the other side of the law as Detective Inspector Bell. Monks recently starred opposite Sarah Snook in All Her Fault.
Additional cast members include Arturo Muselli (Gomorrah, The Consequences Of Love), Eugene Collins (The Bay, Age Before Beauty), Samuel Bottomley (California Schemin’, Ghost Stories), and Lucie Shorthouse (We Are Lady Parts, Bulletproof). Cal O’Driscoll (Video Nasty, September Says) will play Aiden Keeler, Clemmy’s son.
Ned Dennehy (Good Omens, Mandy) and Lee will play Johnny Dog and Charlie Strong, the roles they played in The Immortal Man. Jamie Bell ( All Of Us Strangers, Jumper) and Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton (The New Muntants, As You Are) will play Tommy Shelby’s two sons. They find themselves at a tipping point for The Peaky Blinders and Birmingham. Heaton’s role was unannounced for several months, but a few weeks ago his role in the Shelby Lineage was revealed. Jessica Brown Findlay (Brave New World, Black Mirror), Lashana Lynch (No Time To Die, Captain Marvel), and Lucy Karczewski (Nan Swap, #Fitspo) are also recently announced additions, but character details have yet to be revealed.
Banijay labels Kudos and Garrison Drama are set as the production companies for the series. Steven Knight (Locke, Diety Pretty Things0 serves as creator and writer on the series. Mike Barker (The Handmaids Tale, Fargo) and Anna Zackrisson (The Helicopter Heist, Let The Right One In) will direct the series. Producing duties will be handled by Tim Whitby (Shameless, Servants0. Peaky Blinders is supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority, a joint venture with the BBC that seeks to expand production in the West Midlands.
