TruTV Renews ‘Those Who Can’t’ For a Third Season

Those Who Can’t will be coming back for a third season.

Deadline reports TruTV has ordered another 13-episodes of the comedy series from Denver-based comedy troupe The Grawlix. Those Who Can’t, TruTV’s first scripted series, will premiere its third season sometime this year.

The series stars The Grawlix members Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Overdahl and Ben Roy as teachers at Smoot High. Maria Thayer (AcceptedEagleheart) co-stars as Smoot High’s librarian. The series has also featured Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, The Sklar Brothers, Susie Essman, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Rich Fulcher, Peter Stormare, Baron Vaughn, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Madsen, T.J. Miller, Patton Oswalt and Jonah Ray.

“From day one, we have loved this show and are proud of the world of rich characters that Adam, Andrew and Ben have built through two successful seasons,” said TruTV President Chris Linn. “There are more hilarious stories to tell at Smoot High, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”

Those Who Can’t focuses on the bizarre antics and trouble caused by the faculty of Denver’s Smoot High School during a typical school day. TruTV has been steadily growing its original slate with Billy on the StreetAdam Ruins Everything and Jon Glaser Loves Gear. Cayton-Holland, Orvedahl and Roy executive produce with Tracey Baird, Krysia Plonka, Michael Rotenberg, Josh Lieberman and Richard Korson. The series is produced by Thank You Brain! Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.
